Academic Information

Grade Appeal Procedures:
The grade appeal policy has been updated to clarify timelines, including a new requirement that appeals for courses serving as prerequisites to clinical courses must be submitted within seven days of grade issuance.

 

Experiential Learning Clinical Policy   
Updated to clarify clinical readiness requirements, expectations for re-entry and approved breaks, and the impact of incomplete, failed, or appealed prerequisite courses and SAP appeals on clinical placement timing and program progression.

 

Criminal Background Check Process for Texas Residents Enrolled in Prelicensure Nursing Education Programs  

This addition is intended to promote transparency and consistency in the understanding and application of the Blue Card process for students and employees.

Herzing University regularly reviews and updates its academic programs to ensure they remain current, relevant, and supportive of students’ educational and career goals. The following revisions will take effect beginning Spring Semester 2026.

Accommodations for Qualified Students with Disabilities  
Updated to reflect changes to the request procedure, clarify limitations to accommodations in lab, clinical, or externship settings, and outline the process for appealing accommodation decisions.

University Information

CCNE Accreditation
Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation has been awarded to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program offered at the Nashville and Clarksville campuses. 

 

ABA Accreditation
American Bar Association (ABA) accreditation has been withdrawn effective December 31, 2025, as the Legal Studies program is no longer offered at the Atlanta campus. The program continues to be offered online; however, the online program is not ABA-accredited.
